Maintenance Plans

Are you tired of constantly updating your WordPress website? The bad news is, you need to keep doing it. Keeping your WordPress site up-to-date is very important when it comes to having your website functioning properly and for security reasons. It may be tempting to skip updating your site to avoid potential compatibility issues, but this in itself can cause bigger issues down the road, especially because it makes your site more vulnerable to hacking. The biggest culprit for hacked WordPress sites is out-of-date WordPress installations. The good news is, we can handle all these issues for you!

Maintenance Plan Choices

We offer two different plans to fit different preferences and budget restraints. Both plans include WordPress updates and security monitoring. For either plan, we’ll make sure you are set up with basic security in place with proper reporting, uptime monitoring, security vulnerability alerts, and daily backups. We pay attention to any big updates that come out for WordPress or its plugins and make sure to handle updates carefully in case of any incompatibilities between the major updates and your WordPress website.

Updates and Monitoring Only

Price: $25/month

This plan includes weekly updates of your WordPress site, which means WordPress installation versions, themes, and plugins. It also includes security monitoring, uptime monitoring, and daily backups. When an issue does come up like if we find that a major update may require changes to your WordPress site or if anything happens to your site at all, we can let you know right away, but it will cost you our usual hourly rate for us to resolve the issue. This can be a more cost-effective plan for those who have websites that are simple and are not likely to have issues down the road. Some websites can go a year or more without running into any issues at all, but this is completely dependent on whether WordPress or plugin developers come out with any big updates that require code changes.

Included:

  • Weekly Updates (WordPress version, Plugins, Themes)
  • Security Monitoring and vulnerability alerts
  • Uptime Monitoring
  • Daily Backups

The Difference: Pay for issue resolution on an as-needed basis.

Updates and Hands-On Care

Price: $50/month

This plan includes weekly updates of your WordPress site, which means WordPress installation versions, themes, and plugins. It also includes security monitoring, uptime monitoring, and daily backups. This plan also covers fixes for any compatibility problems that happen with the WordPress updates, security issues, and we’ll even contact your hosting provider for you if needed.

Included:

  • Weekly Updates (WordPress version, Plugins, Themes)
  • Security Monitoring and vulnerability alerts
  • Uptime Monitoring
  • Daily Backups
  • Fixes for compatibility issues
  • Handling of security issues that come up
  • Working directly with your hosting provider to resolve hosting issues

The Difference: We will fix any issues that come up without extra cost to you.

What we need from you

For either maintenance plan, we will need access to your hosting account. We wouldn’t be able to do much of the necessary work without it, such as calling your hosting company on your behalf to resolve issues.

Who is or isn’t eligible for these maintenance plans?

We’ll handle maintenance for most anyone who has a WordPress website, but we may charge extra or avoid certain websites depending on a few factors.

1) If someone else is actively developing your website

We really don’t mind working with other companies on your website, but if another company is making changes to your website or actively developing it, we will avoid putting ourselves in a position where we are liable for someone else’s work.

2) If your website was a house, it would be condemned

It’s like a home insurance company avoiding covering houses that are in a bad state. It’s just not worth the liability to us. If your site hasn’t been updated in 4 years or is just a complete mess, we may pass up covering your site or charge you what it would cost to basically renovate it. If you pay us to get your website up-to-date and to fix anything that breaks in the process, we can set you up with a maintenance plan after that.
